Course overview

This engaging and comprehensive course, Pit Crew RSI: A Team Approach, is designed for emergency care providers at all levels—whether you're a doctor, nurse, ECP, paramedic (BLS, ILS, ALS), a student, or even operating at the Basic Life Support (BLS) level, this course empowers you with the essential skills and knowledge to confidently assist or perform a rapid sequence intubation (RSI).  Through a blend of clinical theory and practical application, learners will explore the principles of airway assessment, preparation, intubation, patient monitoring, and post-intubation care—framed within a coordinated pit crew model that emphasizes communication, role clarity, and patient safety.

The course will be delivered through a mix of video lectures, interactive simulations, and downloadable job aids. Participants will engage with real-world case studies, mnemonics like STEADY and SAFE CARE, and hands-on demonstrations of essential RSI skills including BVM ventilation, laryngoscopy, and front-of-neck access. Assessment will be continuous and based on interactive quizzes, skills checks, and scenario-based knowledge reviews to ensure practical readiness for high-stakes airway management in both prehospital and in-hospital settings.
