Course Overview
This comprehensive case-study based course delineates the clinical, nutritional, and developmental distinctions between picky eating and pediatric feeding disorders, with a focus on the diagnostic criteria for problem feeders.
Participants will explore evidence-based indicators such as food repertoire size, oral-motor skills, sensory integration responses, and psychosocial feeding dynamics. The course emphasises multidisciplinary assessment frameworks, including growth chart interpretation, micronutrient risk profiling, and behavioural feeding patterns. Intervention strategies discussed include food chaining, hunger provocation, and responsive feeding practices, contextualised through detailed pediatric case studies.
Designed for dietitians, feeding therapists, and pediatric clinicians, these case studies may equip professionals to identify, manage, and monitor feeding challenges in early childhood with precision and empathy.
