Annali Botha is an accomplished professional nurse with a distinguished academic and clinical background. She earned her Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral degrees from the University of Pretoria.

Her journey in healthcare began as a critical care nurse at the Steve Biko Hospital (formerly H. F. Verwoerd), where she spearheaded the establishment of a cardiac rehabilitation programme.
Annali devoted over three decades to teaching and research roles at both Unisa and the University of Pretoria. Initially focusing on Critical Care Nursing, her expertise expanded to encompass Community Health and Public Health. As a mentor and advisor,

Annali guided numerous Masters and Doctoral students through their research projects. Her impactful contributions to academia culminated in her retirement as a professor in the Department of Health Studies at Unisa in 2019.
Even in retirement, Annali remains deeply engaged in advancing healthcare education, research and clinical practice. She continues to lend her expertise to designing innovative learning programs, conducting cutting-edge research and fulfilling clinical duties, underscoring her enduring commitment to the betterment of healthcare systems and patient outcomes.
