Course overview

Fundamentals of Menopause Care is an in-depth course designed for healthcare practitioners who are interested in midlife women’s health, and want to improve their knowledge and understanding of diagnosing and managing menopause.

The course provides current evidence-based guidelines to support healthcare practitioners in navigating the menopause transition and beyond. Participants will develop a clear understanding of the physiology of reproductive ageing, and recognise the wide range of symptoms that may accompany the menopause transition. The course will cover the menopause consultation, including screening and red flags, and how to determine an appropriate treatment plan. All aspects of menopause hormone therapy (MHT) and non-hormonal options will be addressed, helping healthcare practitioners to prescribe the appropriate treatment, aligned with best practise medicine and patient goals and preferences.

The course is delivered through a combination of structured learning modules, real-life case studies and downloadable PDF resources for use in practice. Knowledge learnt will be assessed through multiple choice questions at the end of each module.
