Course overview
Tuberculosis (TB) continues to pose a significant public health challenge in South Africa, ranking among the countries with the highest TB burden globally. Despite a focused National TB Control Programme, the country faces a triple burden of TB, HIV-TB co-infection and drug-resistant TB strains. This underscores the vital role of healthcare practitioners in integrating TB diagnosis, care and management into their clinical expertise.
