Assoc. Prof René Krause
Palliative Care Doctor & Lecturer
Short bio: Dr René Krause is a Family Physician and palliative care specialist, and Head of the Division of Interdisciplinary Palliative Care and Medicine at the University of Cape Town. She convenes the postgraduate diploma in Palliative Medicine and is actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.  Clinically, she consults in palliative care at Groote Schuur Hospital. Her work focuses on strengthening the integration of palliative care across health systems, alongside advancing education, research and capacity building in South Africa and the region.
